Hotel Econo Kanazawa Station｜My Stay Experience at a Budget Hotel 5 Minutes from Kanazawa Station

There are many clean and budget-friendly hotels around Kanazawa Station in Ishikawa Prefecture.
One of the hotels I often stay at is Hotel Econo Kanazawa Station.

It is a hotel within walking distance from Kanazawa Station, and it takes about five minutes on foot.

I stayed at Hotel Econo Kanazawa Station from last night to this morning with a single-room plan, so I will write my impressions below.

Check-in and Room Rate

I booked the hotel through Rakuten Travel.
Since I selected pay at the hotel, I paid at the front desk during check-in (payment is required in advance).
Room rates vary depending on the plan and date, but the rate for this stay was 6,200 yen including tax.
Credit card payment was available, so I paid by credit card.
I only had about 5,000 yen in cash, so if the hotel had only accepted cash, I would have needed to go to a convenience store to withdraw money. Being able to pay by credit card was very helpful.
After paying the room rate, they immediately issued a receipt.

Single Room

The hallway is wide and easy to walk through.

The space between the bed and the wall, and between the desk and the bed, is wide, so it does not feel cramped.
The chair does not hit the edge of the bed, so you can slide it back as far as you want without bumping into the bed, making it easy to stand up.

The chair has a backrest and is comfortable to sit on, and the desk is long and spacious enough to place various items.
Free Wi-Fi is available, which is very helpful for me since my smartphone and tablet do not have flat-rate data plans.
The internet speed was fast and comfortable!

The bed had clean sheets and was comfortable, and the sleeping experience was good.

Free Breakfast

Although it was a buffet and I could have put more food on my plate, my stomach felt a bit unsettled, so I chose a smaller portion.

My recommended breakfast combination is rice, miso soup, and natto.
As someone who likes Japanese food, this three-item set makes me very happy.
And it is delicious!

According to the notice posted in the breakfast area, the miso soup uses miso from Ono-machi in Kanazawa City.
It said, "Great as a Kanazawa souvenir!!", so it seems to be a well-known miso in Kanazawa.
When I asked several business contacts in Kanazawa City about it, they said, "Miso from Ono-machi... I've never heard of it."
It may not be as famous as Kanazawa curry, but remembering that miso from Ono-machi in Kanazawa City makes a good souvenir might help you become a Kanazawa expert, so I decided to remember it.

This free breakfast is truly helpful.
When choosing a hotel, the most important factor for me is the room rate, but the second factor is whether the hotel offers free breakfast.
If the room rate is the same, I often choose a hotel with free breakfast.
There are some hotels where the free breakfast is not tasty at all, so in those cases I choose a hotel without breakfast.
Since Hotel Econo Kanazawa Station offers a delicious free breakfast, I expect to stay here several more times in the future.
